For many people, some form of drug therapy is a necessary part of their lives. For others, health and wellness cannot come through drug therapy - they need an alternative medicine to help them heal. In either case, many people choose to explore something outside of standard western medical treatment in order to promote wellness. Sound healing provides a non-invasive, effective alternative approach to health. Sound creates vibrations that signal the brain and nervous system to immediately change your body's chemistry. This shift in chemistry tells the body to change. So whatever symptoms you are experiencing are being told to change.
One of the beauties of sound healing (and there are many!), is that it bypasses all of our "filters". We hear sounds, whether we want to or not. For those with hearing impairments, sound can be conducted through bones. So the vibrations of sound pass directly into the body - to the brain and the nervous system, but also many people say they can feel the vibrations throughout their whole body. The experience is quite pleasant, as though you have just come out of a relaxing session at a day spa. And while that might seem at first to be somewhat frivolous, it has major medical implications. Because stress - whether it's small or large - is a major factor in the breakdown of the body's cohesive functioning. The "disharmonies" that follow can lead to states of "dis-ease", eventually turning into a diagnosable illness. Sound healing is a beautiful way to change course without having to work hard at it.
