Sometimes you just want to be alone. Please, world, just go away. I can't deal with you today. Don't anyone call me.....text me....ask me a favor.....or even look at me. I'm not available....I'm in too much pain.
Have you felt that way?
It's not surprising. We humans are terrific at dealing with acute pain. We're lousy at dealing with chronic pain. It's just not in our bag of "super-power" tricks. And one of the most common responses to chronic pain is to isolate.
And that, my friend, is one of the worst things you can do. For one thing, we're hard wired for community, so isolation goes against our basic nature. It makes us feel worse. But we do it often out of depression....We feel bad about ourselves because we aren't who we once were. We don't want people to see our pain...we feel ashamed of it.
But what if you were to discover a way of dealing with chronic pain that didn't require you to take drugs....that actually gave you the control over your own body and mind? You see, our current medical system is focused on diagnosis and treatment - with pharmaceuticals, surgery, physical therapy, etc. Which means that our current medical system is focused on the doctor and the pharmaceutical industry. There's only one person who's left out of that equation: You. The patient.
Doesn't that seem wrong to you? It does to me.
That's why I'm working on creating a free webinar to help people with chronic pain. If you're interested, please click here - I'll send you a free PDF on the 3 biggest mistakes people with chronic pain make, and what you can do about it.
